MANDATORY EAC REQUIREMENTS AND REGULATIONS

  • EAC’s are NOT ALLOWED to perform or provide services for the following areas: Drayage (GES Canada), Fork and Genie Lift Operations (GES Canada & ShowTech Power & Lighting), Overhead Rigging, Electrical Services, Plumbing and Mechanical Services (ShowTech Power & Lighting), Telecommunications Services, Booth Cleaning and Catering (F&B) (MTCC).
  • The EAC covenants and agrees to indemnify and hold harmless Informa Canada Inc. and the Metro Toronto Convention Centre (MTCC) from and against all claims, demands, charges, losses or damages arising or alleged to arise directly, indirectly or incidentally by reason of any act, omission or operations of the contractor, its officers, employees, agents or anyone for whom the contractor is legally responsible.
  • The EAC acknowledges that its equipment and property at the MTCC is not protected by insurance against fire, theft, vandalism, etc. by the MTCC and the protection of such is the responsibility of the contractor.
  • EAC’s must submit a Certificate of Insurance that meets the following criteria:
    • Comprehensive liability insurance shall provide a minimum limit of liability of five million dollars ($5,000,000) for bodily injury and/or property damage in any one occurrence;
    • Issued by an insurance company licensed to transact business in North America;
    • Provide that it will not be cancelled or materially altered prior to the termination of the Occupancy Period (June 3-June 4, 2020 inclusive);
    • Lists the following as additional insured:
      • Informa Canada Inc. (20 Eglinton Avenue West, Suite 1200, PO Box 2055, Toronto, ON M4R 1K8)
      • Metropolitan Toronto Convention Centre Corporation (255 Front Street West, Toronto, ON M4V 2W6)
  • EAC’s are only permitted on the Show floor without a valid tradeshow badge during move-in hours. If the EAC duties require them to service an exhibitor’s booth during show days, the exhibitor must provide the EAC with an official exhibitor badge.
  • The EAC shall have a true and valid work order from an exhibitor in advance of the show move-in date.
  • The EAC will be responsible, if applicable, for all reasonable costs related to the EAC’s work at the site. This may include overtime pay for stewards, restoration of the exhibit space to its initial condition, etc
  • EAC's must confine operations within the exhibit area of the exhibitor. Aisles, other exhibit spaces and vacant areas may not be used as work or storage areas.
  • The EAC shall abide by the Occupational Health and Safety Act and its applicable regulations at all times during set-up and tear down. All workers MUST wear CSA approved steel-toed safety footwear at all times during move-in and move-out, regardless of their booth size or location on the show floor. CSA approved hard hats must be worn in booths where overhead work is being done. Full details can be found in the Health & Safety section of the exhibitor manual.
  • EAC's are not permitted to solicit and sell their business to any exhibitors associated with PM Springfest at any time (pre-show or onsite). They will be immediately removed from the premise if they are found doing so. 
  • The exhibitor is responsible for providing the EAC with any necessary information pertaining to the exhibit hall (i.e. utilities, order forms, dates, hours, shipping information, booth regulations, etc.) via the online Exhibitor Manual.
